The string is completely natural cotton. No chemicals! The color is Natural. Sturdy yet soft. There are two different edgings for you to choose from. One is a ruffled edge and the other has a flat scalloped edge. Since these are hand-made they can be made to your specifications. I myself like a large wash cloth. The ruffled edge wash cloths are 11" x 10". The scalloped edge wash cloth is 9.5" x 10" If you want something smaller or larger just let me know.
